8 Penthouses That Show What Life at the Top is Like in Singapore

Return to Blog

Every Singaporean knows that part of the quintessential Singaporean dream is the elusive condominium – and part of the elusive condominium? The elusive penthouse.

Located on the highest floor of condominiums, penthouse apartments offer high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, unrivalled views, privacy, and living space – plus all the conveniences and luxuries that come with living in condominiums.

We decided to explore the best 8 penthouses that encapsulate the pinnacle of luxurious living in Singapore – and who knows? One day, you too, might find yourself lounging in a cushy chair by sky sunset balcony views in your penthouse suite. Drool.

Over a year of transaction data, we chose the mix of units below. Some of them are Executive Condominiums (EC); others are fully private. All of them are resale residential units, and we decided to set the price ceiling at roughly S$1.5m (on average, a fitting price for a larger condo unit).

Though we cannot guarantee buyers can find a unit going for the same price, previous transaction trends show that you stand a pretty decent chance. We’ve excluded certain apartments like Marina Bay Residences and One Holland Village Residences as we believe they’ve already received enough publicity.

Just be sure to temper your expectations, because penthouses come in all shapes and sizes, and typically come with more maintenance woes (more floor space exposed to elements, open roof terrace, etc).

And for those with elderly, keep a lookout – mobility issues may be a problem if your penthouse is double-storeyed.

This condo is housed in a sleek, striking building constructed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind. With an array of seven bedrooms, and breathtaking views of Marina Bay, this penthouse is to die for.

Inside the penthouse, which contains six glass towers, buyers can find six bedrooms spread across three floors, with a clear, unobstructed view of the glittering see, and a bonus complimentary three-year Marina at Keppel Bay membership thrown in to boot (the club is within walking distance)!

Shops and amenities are well within reach, too, with a shuttle bus to Harbourfront MRT and Telok Blangah MRT. Plus, this penthouse is perched on the Greater Southern Waterfront area, which is projected to become a bustling hub of business, residence, nature, and entertainment from 2040.

  • 12,078 sqf, partially furnished
  • Freehold
  • TOP: 2023

Moving over to more coveted luxury homes, we’ve got Les Maisons Nassim Penthouse. Sitting at a slightly discounted price of S$70 million, this one is parked on the higher end of the penthouse scene – but for the facilities, scenery, and location, it’s no wonder this one’s got a hefty price tag attached.

With this unit, you get a peak luxury experience. You won’t just get typical sweeping views of the city – this opulent development is four floors high, and comes in limited supply. The entire complex is home to only 14 units, and each with its own private lift lobby. Of the 14, only 2 are super penthouses!

Plus, part of the luxury is the bespoke living experience you’ll get – with the sweeping 21-metre frontage free of columns, homeowners get to pick from three ID designs, or design their unit from ground-up.

Residents have MRT stations right at their fingertips, too, with Napier MRT and Orchard Boulevard MRT being a stone’s throw away for easy access to Singapore’s shopping district. Orchard Road has never been so accessible!

3. One Chatsworth Penthouse

  • 13,000 sqf, partially furnished
  • Freehold
  • TOP: 1976

Stick to the classics with One Chatsworth. Though its TOP was issued in 1976, this hefty penthouse unit with plenty of space houses two floors, with balconies wrapped around all three living rooms, six bedrooms, and a helper’s room.

This exclusive development is home to 45 units, all of which come together to form one tall block. We’re especially fans of the high ceilings, and the sweeping panoramic view of Grange Road. You can be guaranteed lots of natural light and great ventilation with this one!

Amenities include a swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, and playground – the cherry on top is that Orchard Boulevard MRT station is just a 5 minute walk away, which means you’ve got the entire Orchard Road and shopping district at your doorstep!

This duplex Skyline @ Orchard Boulevard is within walking distance from Orchard MRT and Somerset MRT. Sitting at a staggering 33 floors above downtown Singapore, this development houses five bedrooms, with a balcony that looks over Orchard Road.

Our favourite part? The private pool – along with the whole other host of facilities that you’ll typically find in a condo. And only 40 other units have exclusive access to these amenities, so rest assured, it’s a pretty snug development.

5. The Tate Residences Penthouse

  • 5,963 sqf
  • 99-year leasehold

Tate Residences is a mixed-use development, with a shopping mall and theatre easily located on the lower floors for super convenient access. We love this 4-bedroom penthouse for its location – residential lift within the compound link you directly to City Hall MRT!

And as if the penthouse living room being over nine metres wide isn’t a jaw-dropper already, buyers will find clear, gorgeous views of Saint Andrew’s Cathedral and Marina Bay Sands from your condo balcony.

This development is parked nicely along Stamford Road, in super close proximity to both City Hall and Bras Basah MRT, along with lively malls in the area like Raffles City Shopping Centre and Funan Shopping Mall.

With loads of museums, libraries, and galleries, along with the entire CBD (!!) at your disposal, this penthouse location is to die for. Truly prime district location!

  • 9,139 sqf, fully furnished
  • 99-year leasehold

This excellent penthouse unit boasts two-storeys, a private lap and jet pool on its open roof garden, with not one, two, or three, but four (!!) ensuite bedrooms. The cherry on top is its location: smack in the heart of Marina Bay, equally distanced from Marina Bay and the Singapore river – with both business and happy hour well within reach.

One Shenton is a pretty staggering 50-floor complex, home to 341 units, and is great for the environmentally savvy. The complex developer is a reputed, socially responsible corporation that actively champions green projects.

Renowned architect Carlos Ott shows that you can have your cake and eat it too – a green development that comes with breathtaking views of the city sky, which you can indulge from your penthouse balcony.

Having your alfresco dining areas decked out with gorgeous sunsets and the golden sky? Yes please!

This Beach Road complex is home to 39 levels and 360 units, and we love it for not just its central location, but its rolling views of the Marina Bay sea view and Singapore River waters.
